Parables have a two-fold purpose. Both to obscure for those who don’t really get it or want to get it. Perhaps so they won’t be held responsible for what they’ve heard.

But also for those who hear and see, to hear more!

In another place, Christ said students of the Kingdom of God are like treasure holders, bringing out of their treasures “old and new.”

How is your spiritual treasure chest?

Are your eyes open to the parables of Christ right in front of you?

If you’re truly a “Smiling Icon,” an image of God (eikona, Icon) filled with the Spirit, you’ll have eyes to see.

And more will be given to you, every day and in every way!
