LUKE 7:18-35 - Jesus and John the Baptist PART 3
As Jesus encouraged John, who was having doubts about who Jesus really was, he said in Luke 7: “23 Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”
Jesus knew he didn’t fit the expectations of his followers. Even his cousin John the Baptist, who’d been shown at his baptism who Jesus was, struggled with who he was and how his ministry played out. But after Jesus says this, he goes on to state this.
Among all the prophets, Jesus said: “among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” (Luke 7:28)
