LUKE 6:12-16 Jesus “Did” 12 Apostles PART 1

Luke 6:12-16 Jesus "Did" 12 Disciples Part 1

So, how did the 12 apostles come to be known as the 12 apostles?

Were they just guys Jesus met along the way, and he demonstrated that any sow’s ear can be turned into a silk purse?

Were they chosen before the foundation of the world, chosen for this specific role?

As you dig into the study of the Greek, you discover that Jesus not only “appointed” disciples apostles, but he “did” some disciples into apostles. As much as Grammarly and every ounce of my ability to translate Greek into easy-to-read English, he didn’t even “make” apostles. He did them!

What does that mean? In this two (maybe three) part study of the 12, their appointment and their generation by God, we’re going to dig into that.

It’s a bigger deal than I ever thought it could be before.

Christ “did” disciples.

And Christ is “doint” you too. There’s more here than meets the eye.

Part 1 is a bit of a prologue and lets the Scripture lead us into this “doing” concept.
