So Jesus didn’t just “appoint” disciples. He “did” disciples. The God who is the God of all the universe and some say the incarnation of it, “did” disciples. What does that mean?

And what does that mean about you and what you’re going to “do” this week?

t’s study the word “do” in the Greek. It’s has no real equivalent in English.  And it gives amazing revelations about the nature of God and the universe we find ourselves living in.

The amazing reality is that Jesus, the One who “is” Reality, it the “Reality” in which we live. We don’t live apart from him. We’re being “generated” literally IN Him.

“In Him we live and move and have our being” Acts 17:28. “In Him you consist,” Colossians 1:17 says. In Him you “subist”—-hold together, have form, have “mass.”

In a couple of months we’ll be celebrating on Christmas. But think about the word’s succint parts—-”Christ” and “mass.” Christ is “massing” you. You may be a “mess.” But you’re also a “mass.” One Christ is constantly generating, one Christ is always forming, fooling around with, and making into something more.

Jesus is “doing” you even as we speak. And He’s doing you into something more and more every day and in every way.

What are you being “done” into this week? Don’t be afraid of anything that has happened or that is going to happen. Keep looking for what Christ is doing you “into” in the Marketplace this week, and in life in general.
