ADVENT STUDY SERIES 2025: PART 5 - The Christmas Story According to Luke: The Birth
Food for Thought, Bread for Life - Consider “feeding” at the Manger More in 2026
(CLV) Lk 2:14
"Glory to God among the highest! And on earth peace, Among men, delight!"
Among men, delight!"
That’s what the angels told the shepherds on the day they announced the birth of Jesus.
But what does that mean to your everyday life in the Marketplace.
We’ll let’s look at the Greek words used for the word “delight”—-ευδοξια (eudoxia).
"The noun ευδοξια (eudoxia), meaning a finding good (a thinking good of) or good reputation (a being thought good of)." FROM: Abarim Publications Theological Dictionary (New Testament Greek)
Jesus gives us more than just freedom from guilt and the taking away of the penalty of sin.
Jesus gives us delight! And what is delight?
The ability to “find good” in life.
The ability to “think” of the good in life.
The ability to be thought of as “good,” because you are “good”---in Christ!
That’s what Christ came to restore. Not just a reminder of our worthlessness. But a reminder of our value! A reminder of who we are and always have been in Christ in God. And also, the ability to find the “good” in life every week, every day.
That’s a great way to face 2026, by the way. To develop to find the good in everyday, in every week, no matter what is happening!
The secret for that?
Eat the right food!
Feed on the Bread of Life who was laid in a manger in Bethlehem, the "House of Bread."
When you do, you’ll see yourself as he does. And you’ll regain the ability to find good in life as well.
