ADVENT STUDY SERIES 2025: PART 4 - The Christmas Story According to Luke: The Prequel

 So before the world began, the Father blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing “in” Christ. We live and move and have our being “in” him (Acts 17:28). He chose us “in” him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight (Ephesians 1:4).  He predestined us for adoption to sonship in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:5).  When he died, we died (2 Corinthians 5:14).  When he was resurrected, we were made alive in him (Ephesians 2:5). When he rose, we rose (Ephesians 2:6) and became seated with him in the heavenly realms. So when he was born, we were born anew with him. This isn’t just the story of Christ’s birth. It’s the story of our rebirth as well, which, like all things, took place “in” him. “His” story is the most important event in all history. It is our story too.  “His story/my story---history/mystery. Amen. Let’s read the ‘prequel” to the birth of Jesus when she was told by the angel of the birth to come—-and learn the best way anyone can ever answer God when He shares with them His future for them.
