LUKE 8:19-21 – JESUS RULES OVER CHAOS – WATERY, OR OTHERWISE

A beautiful metaphor in Scripture is the “watery” chaos that surrounds us, the seas and all their overwhelming power. Jesus could walk on water, and above the chaos (Matthew 14:22-32). Jesus, as we’ll see in this study, could rebuke and calm the “whelming flood” and the raging winds. Jesus rules over chaos, and he always will. What is the lesson of this particular Scripture, and the “lessons” behind the lesson? We’ll discover more than meets the eye, as we press this Scripture for all it’s worth. God has got “chaos” under His control. And we can “rest” in peace, assured of that control.
