Luke 5:17-26 Humans Can Forgive - THAT MEANS YOU TOO!

Forgiveness is one of the greatest gifts we’ve been given. The fact that God has forgiven all in Christ is amazing. But what to me is equally amazing is that God has also given us “sons and daughters of men” the POWER to forgive.

Yes, I said the POWER to forgive. It takes true and godly power to forgive. To not be held in the prison of bitterness, and trapped in the dungeon of social darkness. For living, we give. And for giving---and forgiving---we live.

What a great freedom we’ve been given to be able to forgive others. It takes POWER to do so, but God has given it to us. Let’s see how this forgiveness plays out in this story. We’ll study the setting of this story in Part 1. And we’ll get to the meat of how Jesus showed that humans can forgive in Part 2.
