Jesus Takes the Gospel Out of Israel – Luke 8:26-38 Part 2 – The Abyss

Jesus had commanded evil spirits to come out of a man who apparently was dominated by at least 2,000 of them. Their reaction to Jesus is telling. “Don’t torture us!” they begged.

 What was torturous to the demons that they panicked in Jesus’ presence?

It was about being sent to their final fate, something called “the Abyss.” 

What was that?

Could it possibly be a black hole?

What is the ultimate fate of those who choose to not live in harmony with God’s life? Both in the future, and frankly in the now?
