Luke 6:20-26 The Sermon on the Plain Parts 1 and 2 The Blessings and the Woes

Luke gives an amazing version of the Sermon on the Mount. I think it’s a second version called “The Sermon on the Plain.” It has subtle differences from the one shared in Matthew, and includes not only what causes “blessings,” but what causes “woes” as well.

What is a blessing, anyway? In studying this version this time, a fascinating way of looking at the word blessing is brought out. It means to be in a state where no matter what happens, you’re untouchable—-the bad can’t get you.
