LUKE 6:12-16 Jesus “Does” The 12 Apostles PART 4: SPECIAL FOCUS ON JUDAS
This study is primarily about Judas, and an in depth look at what possibly could have led him to do what he did. There’s lots of warning to us in this story, to make sure we don’t let our “pet” sin create avenues for Satan’s entrance into our hearts and lives.
But rather than just focus on that, another amazing and encouraging truth surfaces in this study.
When Judas departed to betray him, Christ said this.
John 13:29-30
30 As soon as Judas had taken the bread, he went out. And it was night. 31 When he was gone, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified and God is glorified in him. 32 If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once.
This is a profound Statement. It wasn’t just Jesus that was glorified, it was humanity that was glorified, the way humanity was meant to be glorified.
God was going to be glorified “in” the Son of “Mankind.”
But Mankind was going to be “glorified”---made holy, made permanent—“in” God.
That’s huge.
